Neuberger donates €8,000 to good causes

Helping disadvantaged people and those in need has become a valued Christmas tradition for the Rothenburg-based building automation specialist. In lieu of giving presents to customers and business partners, Neuberger GmbH donates to a good cause. This year, four organisations and one family were delighted to receive a Christmas donation.

“Every year before Christmas we collect ideas for suggested donations and then decide where we will provide financial support. It is important that our donations also help our employees’ home regions,” says Klaus Lenkner, managing director of Neuberger Gebäudeautomation GmbH.

The tradition of Christmas donations has been around for a long time, but for the past two years the employees of Neuberger Gebäudeautomation GmbH have been asked to submit suggestions for the annual donation, from which the management then selects appropriate charities or social institutions. This year, the decision was made to donate to the Krankenhausförderverein Mediroth, an association whose aim is to promote, support and maintain Rothenburg Hospital.

Neuberger’s management team was delighted to hand over a cheque for €1,500, in compliance with the COVID-19 restrictions in place at the time (see photo).

Another €1,500 went to the Evangelische Jugendsozialarbeit EJSA Rothenburg gGmbH, which works for young people in a range of difficult situations to find new ways for them to enter the labour or apprenticeship market or to get involved in society. A donation of €2,000 went to the Spenden-Shuttle des FördAHRvereins for the flood victims in the Ahr valley, and to a family from the region who suffered serious misfortune in 2021.

As an organisation that helps young children on intensive care wards in Wurzburg, the Verein Kiwi e.V. from Würzburg also received a cheque for €1,000 to support patients, their parents and the intensive care unit staff in any way they can.
