Neuberger donates to good cause

Company

Rothenburg’s specialist in building automation, room automation and clean room technology has donated a total of more than €11,800 to charities and non-profit organisations.

“Consistency and reliability are two key pillars of our corporate policy. The same is true of our social commitment. We made a conscious decision some years ago to stop sending Christmas to our customers. Instead, we donate to charities and non-profit organisations,” says Friedrich Uhl, an authorised signatory at Neuberger.

The Elterninitiative krebskranker Kinder Oldenburg e.V., a parents’ initiative for children with cancer, was a cause particularly close to Neuberger’s heart as the son of a company employee was diagnosed with a tumour last year. Neuberger staff alone collected €1,860 during the annual Christmas party. “I am delighted that our employees are showing solidarity and helping out. We send the young man our best wishes for what we hope will be a speedy recovery,” Uhl continued. The donation will go directly to the boy as he undergoes cancer treatment. An additional €2,500 was transferred to the organisation.

Another €3,000 was donated to Plan International Deutschland e.V. For 80 years, the organisation has been committed to helping children worldwide to escape a life of poverty, violence and injustice. The company donated €2,500 to the Interessengemeinschaft zur Förderung der Kinder der Würzburger Intensivstation e.V. (KIWI e.V.), an alliance that supports children on the intensive care ward in Wurzburg. Ihr sollt Leben e.V., an organisation from Leutershausen in the district of Ansbach which supports South African children in need, was pleased to receive a donation of €2,000.

Neuberger plans to resume its fundraising activities towards the end of this year.
