Neuberger makes six charitable donations at Christmas

Company

Rothenburg’s specialist in building automation, room automation and clean room technology dispensed with Christmas presents for customers in 2020 and instead donated to a range of charities and to a family in need.

“Neuberger has a long history of social engagement. As a company with roots in this region, social projects in Rothenburg and the surrounding area are particularly close to our hearts,” says Klaus Lenkner, managing director of Neuberger Gebäudeautomation GmbH.

“Although the past year has been full of challenges, it was still important for us to help out,” Lenkner continues. Neuberger employees were able to get involved by submitting ideas for fundraising projects in advance. One of the charities chosen by management was the Hospiz-Verein Rothenburg e.V., a hospice association whose volunteer members provide outstanding care for elderly and seriously ill people, including during the coronavirus pandemic. Neuberger’s management team was delighted to present a cheque for €2,000 before the Christmas holidays, in compliance with the coronavirus restrictions in place at the time (see photo).

Another €2,000 went to the Verein Amelié e.V. in Dombühl, an association which supports families with chronically ill children, and to the Zeidler-Verein Rothenburg for the town’s training apiary in a woodland of trees planted to commemorate local weddings. A donation of €600 was made to the Förderzentrum Rothenburg school, which will use the money to provide all pupils with free mineral water for one year as part of the Trinkwasser 2021 (Drinking Water 2021) campaign.

The Verein Hundertprozent e.V. in Blaufelden received a donation of €1,000. The charity is currently supporting projects the telephone counselling service in Heilbronn, which is experiencing a substantial increase in calls as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. €400 was also donated to a family from Röttingen whose daughter has been confined to a wheelchair since a serious car accident in 2015 and needs round-the-clock care.
