Promoting young talent at Neuberger: 20 new apprentices start their careers in August

Press releases

Neuberger Gebäudeautomation GmbH is adding 20 new apprentices to the team at company headquarters in Rothenburg as of 2 August. “Despite ongoing economic uncertainty in some sectors, it is important for us to provide apprenticeships to give young people career prospects. At the same time, we are safeguarding the company’s expertise for the long term,” says Klaus Lenkner, managing director of Neuberger Gebäudeautomation GmbH.

The specialist in building automation, room automation, clean room and process technology, based in Middle Franconia, offers young people a variety of opportunities to start their careers. Either as an electronics engineer for automation technology, an electrical fitter, an industrial clerk, an IT specialist for systems integration or a dual study program for a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a focus on electrical engineering and information technology. “We need skilled professionals for the future and we train them in-house. This has proven itself over decades,” says authorised signatory and HR manager Friedrich Uhl, who is in charge of recruiting junior staff.

First established on Oberer Kaiserweg in 1968, Neuberger has been continuously evolving, and this is also reflected in the range of apprenticeships on offer. Trainees can acquaint themselves with business processes from the outset, adopting a learning-by-doing approach in an easy-going corporate culture with flat organisational structures. Apprentices appreciate the real focus on practical skills across a wide range of areas. “As a company that has provided apprenticeships for many years, we believe that this model is essential and is the best preparation for a future career,” Uhl continues.

The chances of being taken on by the automation specialist from Rothenburg after an apprenticeship are pretty good too. In 2021, 95% of apprentices were taken on as permanent employees after passing their exams.

The selection process for the 2022 apprenticeship year is due to start in the coming weeks. Neuberger Gebäudeautomation GmbH’s website provides information about the company’s apprenticeship, study and career opportunities for prospective school leavers with an interest in automation technology.

Neuberger recently welcomed 20 new apprentices to its head office in Rothenburg ob der Tauber.
